Charge of the Committee
As announced on July 1, 2025, Dean Heather K. Gerken is leaving the university on August 1, 2025 to serve as the next president of the Ford Foundation following eight years of distinguished service as Dean of Yale Law School. President Maurie McInnis formed a search committee charged with identifying the next Dean of Yale Law School.
The Dean Search Committee will solicit input from Yale Law School faculty, students, staff, alumni, and University leadership as part of its process in the coming months. The committee created an online form to receive feedback during the process.
