Yale President Maurie McInnis has formed a committee to examine when the university, or those speaking on its behalf, should comment on matters of public significance, weighing the value that Yale places on engaging with the wider world as well as the university’s commitment to fostering an environment of diverse viewpoints and open dialogue and debate. The committee will complete its work by the end of the fall 2024 semester.
The committee is grateful to all those who attended listening sessions and provided their input through the online form, which stayed open until the end of the last listening session.
